JAC J7 or JAC S3: which one to rent?

• JAC J7: a five-seat sedan with a sloping fastback roof and a wide tailgate, so suitcases and shopping bags load easily. A good choice for airport runs and long drives on Sheikh Zayed Road.
• JAC S3: a compact SUV, also sold as the JS3 in some markets, with a higher driving position and a short body that is easy to park in busy areas.

Deposit or no deposit

When a JAC needs a deposit, it ranges from AED 1,000 to AED 3,800 depending on the car.

Weekly and monthly JAC rental

Most JACs can be rented from one day, and the price per day drops as the rental gets longer. For a new resident waiting for a car, or a long stay in Dubai, a monthly JAC rental is often the simplest option; for a shorter trip, look at weekly car rental. You see the full price before you book.

Delivery, mileage and Salik

The JAC is delivered where you are: your home, your hotel, your office or Dubai International Airport. You check the car and the documents with the partner at delivery and pay at that moment. Insurance details are shown on each car page, extra kilometres are charged at the rate shown on the car, and Salik tolls are counted during the rental and paid at the end.

Each rental includes around 250 km per day, and extra kilometres cost from AED 0.50 to AED 4.90 per km depending on the car.

Documents and minimum age

UAE residents need a UAE driving licence and an Emirates ID. Tourists need a passport, a visit visa and their home licence: licences from the UK, the United States, Canada, the Gulf countries and most European countries are accepted as they are, others need an International Driving Permit as well. The minimum age depends on the partner, from 18 with some of them, and the conditions are shown on each car page.
