Two Hyundai Accent from AED 90 per day, from three days up

Rentop lists two Hyundai Accent today. The first opens at AED 90 per day, the second sits at AED 120, and neither takes a booking shorter than three days. By the week the price starts at AED 560, and by the month it runs from AED 1980 to AED 2300 depending on which of the two you take. At this price nothing has been stripped out: insurance is inside the booking, delivery anywhere in Dubai is free, and the no deposit option applies here.

Two cars is not many, and we would rather say so plainly. It also means nothing about your booking is vague: you are reserving one of two specific saloons whose year, colour and price are printed above.

The two cars, exactly as they appear

One is a 2022 and the other a 2024. One is silver and the other white. They are advertised at 123 hp and 150 hp, one has four doors and the other five, and both seat five people around a 1.5 litre petrol engine. The listings do not say which colour, which output or which door count belongs to which year, so we will not guess on your behalf. Open the two cards and the pairing is spelled out.

Both sit in the economy class, both are automatic with air conditioning, which here is not a comfort item but the line between a usable car and an unusable one, and the boot is generous for the size: two suitcases and a full grocery run go in without an argument.

The month at AED 1980, and what that is per day

This is where the Accent stops being a cheap car and becomes a sensible one. Thirty days charged at the opening rate of AED 90 would add up to AED 2700. The monthly price starts at AED 1980, so the long booking takes AED 720 off that total and brings the car down to AED 66 a day, every day, with fuel and Salik on top.

The week does the same job with smaller figures. Seven days billed at AED 90 would be AED 630, while the weekly rate starts at AED 560, so you keep AED 70 and each day costs AED 80 instead of AED 90. The longer the booking, the less a day costs.

The drivers who squeeze the most out of that arithmetic are usually recent arrivals: someone waiting on a residence visa before buying, someone whose own car is still on a ship, someone driving for a platform where every dirham of daily cost comes out of the day's takings. AED 66 a day for a car that is automatic, cold inside and insured answers all three.

Renting with no deposit held

This is the model where the no deposit option counts for most, because the people who rent it are the people who cannot have a lump sum frozen on a card for weeks. A held deposit is not a charge, but it behaves like one: it eats into your limit, and it does not come back the day you hand the keys over.

Taking that option removes the block: your card keeps its headroom, and paired with payment on delivery the money leaves your account only when the car is in front of you.

Running a small car in Dubai

A compact saloon is the right tool here. The car parks under the malls are built around cars this size, the older streets behind Deira and Karama forgive it, and the tight bays in the Marina towers stop being a daily negotiation. A 1.5 litre engine drinks very little, which becomes a real monthly saving.
